This website offers a collection of Libyan legal documents, particularly laws, rulings, and circulars. Our website will focus particularly on public legal documents which are less widely available, such as court rulings and circulars. In the future we will also add commentaries by members of our network. We will also include relevant reports on legal developments in Libya.
Those interested in Libya’s legal system, will find an abundance of resources online. Libya’s Supreme Court publishes its rulings on its website in Arabic. The Ministry of Justice publishes a newspaper in Arabic. The Law Society of Libya has a comprehensive collection of Libyan legislation – mostly in Arabic but also with some material in English. DCAF Libya provides an expansive collection of ‘laws, decrees and other legislation governing the security sector in Libya’ both in Arabic and English.
