Ahmed Al-Radamah is a lecturer at the Department of Private Law at Wadi Al-Shati University.
In the first phase of the “Access to Justice in Libya” project (2021-2024), Ahmad researched the paths to justice for eight people affected by the Ubari conflict. When conflict escalated across Libya in 2014, fighting erupted in the town of Ubari between the ethnic groups of Tabu and Tuareg. People were killed and injured, and property was destroyed. When the conflict subsided, many people were unsure of whom to turn to for justice. Despite promising initial messages about compensation, the process appears to have stalled somewhere - leaving many of those affected in limbo.
